freezing a card
I have a credit card that it at its limit (about $2000) and it was there for the past year. Ive always been paying the minimum fee, and I am unable to pay much more than that (I'm a full-time student without a job), and I havent been using the card at all for a year (maybe a couple of $5-10 purchases once in a while, but I can give that up easily). However, this seems unending with the credit card fees, and it feels like in this year i just threw away $1000 in just fees and my balance didnt seem to move at all. Is there a way to just stop the fees and pause/deactivate my card until I am able to pay? (I would pay the $2000 eventually after I graduate and get a job) Maybe there can be some sort of loan that doesnt require me to throw away $50+ a month (my finance fee)?

this is a bank of america card, I am unsure of the plan, but I think it is one of those college student ones (i can probably find out if necesary).

What kind of fees are they charging you?? If at least your minimum payments are made by the due date(s) you should not incur any late payment fees. I think what you may be talking about is "interest" on open balances, and not fees.
