Understanding BT fees.
Do I pay the BT fee to the CC the balance is being transferred to?

i.e I transferred £365 form my HSBC CC to the Halifax Plus CC, paying the BT fee to Halifax.

On a different note, if I got a CC (with a BT fee, say 3.0%) and transferred the balance to the egg money card which charges no fee I would still have to pay the BT fee of 3.0%, is this right?

Is this because, in the HSBC and Halifax example Halifax are taking on the debt so it is reasonable (as much as CC's can be) for them to charge me for this service? In the egg money example I'm not transferring a debt (more just moving money) and so I am charged the BT fee from the CC (not from egg but the other card...*blink*

Thanks for your help

Depends On The Credit Cards Terms And Conditions. If You Are Still Unsure, Call The Customer Service Number And Ask. I Would Look For A 0% Transferring Balance Card(s)..

Good Luck..
