Pending transaction on a cancelled card?
I purchased one of those reloadable Visa cards and I had preordered something online and I thought it was a done deal... I ended up cancelling the reloadable card the next day and I find out that the charge was actually a pending charge.

Does anyone have any idea what will happen to that pending charge? Even though I cancelled the card will the transaction still go through? Unfortunately the website doesn't have phone support and the card company wont let me get through to an operator unless I have an active card.. I don't know where to turn!

It's Greendot Visa. The cards and reload packs are available at Walgreens, Walmart, Radio shack..

Well, this is what I would do:

First of all, contact the place where you made the order and tell them to make sure they cancel the order and to send you some kind of confirmation of the cancellation.
Second of all, use the Contact Us page from the Green Dot Online website page to verify that the card was indeed closed - if you haven't already gotten that confirmation.

If you get ALL confirmation of each of these steps you will be fine - just KEEP your paperwork!

Good Luck and let us know if things got worked out!
