Using international credit cards online
Hi all, I hope I am posting this in the right forum...

My girlfriend lives in Peru and has a credit card from a bank there. Every time she tries to purchase something online to be delivered to me from an American website, the card is always rejected. Normally she gets an "invalid zip code" error. She tried putting in 00000 but it did not work.

Is there any trick to doing this? Or, if not, does anyone know of any company that can help? It seems this is a common enough problem that there ought to be some company out there that offers a service, something like using your home credit card to purchase some temporary American card, which can then be used to make a purchase at any website...does this exist as far as anyone knows?

Or any other creative ideas? Thanks.

This may not be a "problem" of the card but rather the processor. In order to minimize fraud, many processors correlate the billing address of the card with the delivery address of what is purchased. No match, no approval, NO sale.

She may want to speak to her issuer about a possible resolution.
