Not Receiving Renewed CC
This may sound paranoid, but it's true and I'm looking for an explanation. I have a Citi Platinum Select Mastercard as a Shell gas card. I never carry a balance and average charges are $2000/month.
At the last two renewal dates (every 2 years), when the card expires, I have not received a new card in the mail. I call customer service, and they immediately cancel the card, and issue a new one with a new number, which is a major hassle for me to update creditors with the new number. I don't believe that the renewal cards were lost in the mail as I use a USPS post office box and have never had mail go missing before.
I feel like Citi is trying to discourage me from being a card holder by simply not mailing me a renewal card. Perhaps my pattern of card usage doesn't fit their desired profile or something. Has anyone else experienced anything like this or have an explanation? Thanks.
