try this
you should look into doing a balance transfer to a lower rate or 0 intro rate card. If you shop you can also find cards that will give you a fixed rate on a balance transfer. It is difficult to deal with the credit card companies sometimes. I have found that the best way to lower the rate is to just transfer the full amount to a different card. I actually had this happen to me with Amex. They would not lower my rate once it went up so I just did a balance transfer to a Visa with a 2.9%intro rate for almost a year. Easiest way to take care of the problem.
