I am very confused....
I had a credit card account that was closed and sent over to a collection agency. I was not able to keep up with the payments due to getting laid off from work and bills just started to pile up. And this particular credit card account was one of them. I tried to go online on the credit card website, but was unable to due to my account being closed. Well, today I received an e-mail from the company stating that a payment was received in the full amount?! So I go to the website and log-in, and lo and behold my account is active again and the account is paid off. How is this possible when I did not not make a payment at all? Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Was this a corporate credit card? If yes, then the company might have paid the outstanding amount and then blocked it.

Thanks & Regards.

Perhaps you had good credit standings as compared to the rest of the customers and they rather keep you as a customer?
