Credit vs. Debit

Which one do you prefer and why?

I prefer debit because that's my own money and I lower the risk of debt.

Debit here as well, because I can use my own money without thinking of owning a debt and much more its charges.

Well, I prefer credit cards, because there are often many rewards. The key for me is that I never use credit cards unless I know I can pay for whatever it is that I am buying. I've only once used my credit cards to pay for something I knew I couldn't completely cover right away, and that was my tuition.

I think if you manage your credit cards wisely they are the better choice because of all the added perks. If you're not good at managing your finances though, then it's best to stick to debit cards. :P

I prefer Credit. All my transactions are "insured", I get rewards and I use other peoples money. Like I always say, if you can use someone elses free money; why use your own? Obviously, you must PIF at the end of the month.

The rewards would probably be the only reason I'd prefer it, miles to be specific.
