cannot establish credit please help!!
ok this is my situation... i want to get a credit card and start building credit, simple right? nooooo, i applied for a capitol one credit card and they said no because you have no established credit history.. ok so i apply for a line of credit at my bank, declined for the same reason! so i try bestbuy store and same story, but wait am i missing something?.. HOW DO YOU GET A CREDIT HISTORY IF YOU CANT GET A CREDIT CARD! OR FINACE ANYTHING! how do people with good credit, get credit to begin with. ive been trying for about 3 months with mutiple declines for the same exact reason no credit history.. so they tell me i have to start off with a secure credit card. but why should i be treated like a person who screwed up thier credit when i havent even had the chance, not fair right.

There are also secured cards (or prepaid cards) that may help you to build your credit. They are nothing but debit cards that are reported by the bank as credit cards. So, for everybody, who tries to keep track of your credit they "look" just like regular credit cards. This way you can slowly, but surely, build your credit. I hope it helped.

There is one shortcut. Get someone with good credit to cosign for you. This makes you less risky and much more likely to get approved and start building your credit history.
If you can't get someone to cosign then secured cards or store credit is your best bet. Don't look at having to get a secured card as you "screwed up", it's really more like "you're not trusted yet". Like it or not, without a credit history banks don't know you from Adam, so you get lumped in the same high risk group as everyone else who may or may not pay off their debt.

I think that you can look for somebaby who has the credit. He or she can give you help and assure for you. If you do this , you maybe ectablish your credit.

Employment is the beginning
Hi,
First and foremost, you need to have a job and to have been working gainfully for atleast 6-12 months. Start again at that point and I think Best Buy is a good place to start, if they say NO again, try something smaller like a clothing store or even an online merchant that sells clothing and offers you to sign up for a card to pay for your order. Good luck

I will agree with some of the poster above. Get an adult to sign with you, like one of your parents. If they have a good credit, they will give you a CC in a joint account with your parent. That way, they feel better and more comfortable, knowing if you can't pay your payments off, your parent who has a good record can cover you
