Will this screw up my credit history?
So I always paid on time and when I paid I rounded up. If the bill was for $56 I'd pay $60 and so on and so forth.
This month I missed a payment by 3 days. The bill was for $70 and to make up for the late fees I paid $100.
How bad will the late fee ruin my credit history?
It's my first late payment and I've always paid more than asked just to prove to them that I can and also so it rolls over to the next month.

This late will probably have no effect whatsoever on your CS. The only effect is to your pocket for having to pay the late fee.

Lates are reported to the CRAs at 30 days so chances are it will never hit.

Since this is a first, I would call and request a goodwill waiver of the fee due to your stellar history. People do it all the time. Just accept the blame for whatever the reason and request the waiver. It never hurts to ask. Good luck.

Since it was your first time with the late fee, you should have no problem having your credit history get ruined. Just don't keep doing it or it would be completely recked.

Really great to know. I'll ask my accountant or something about this waiver thing.
I've never heard of it but sounds like something I should look into.
Thanks!

Yea there is usually a strike system when it comes to those late fees.

dont worry it will not affect ur credit history much , because 1 or 2 late bill payments in years does not matter according to me. but it will affect ur pocket more than credit history.
