will canceling a store credit card I just got hurt my credit?
This weekend I purchased a new television. I was going to charge it to my Discover card, but the store had a 12 month no interest if approved for their care. So I applied, got the card on the spot, and went to buy the television. Long story short didn't end up buying from that store, didn't use the card, and never will.

Will it hurt my credit if I cancel the card immediately? My credit score is 769 right now. I'm getting ready to look into buying a house soon and don't want to hurt my credit. I have two other credit cards that I've paid off every month since I've had them. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It has been proven that it does hurt your credit if you cancel a card..Just cut it up..

Good Luck!
