Bank of America
Worst Possible company for credit cards!! Pls ensure that you are NOT dealing with Bank of America on any credit cards. I have had a Bass Pro VISA for years, and now find out it is recently controlled by Bank of America, which now tells me that my payments for 2 months were late. This is NOT accurate bec both payments were mailed prior to the due date. However, Bank of America will not do anything to help me. They have increased my special 1.99% rate to 24.99%, which results in huge $$ finance charges. Their Customer Service is some of the worst we've ever experienced. We have even written to their Vice President of Customer Service. Bank of America is the worst company we've dealt in many years!!

Pls do NOT fall into the same trap with Bank of America!! If you have any accounts with Bank of America, cancel them asap. It is important that all credit cards users realize how difficult Bank of America is to deal with. Pls pass the word!!

What does "mailed prior to due date" mean? If it was the day before, then there is no way the payment was processed on time. I personally have had no issues with four accounts owned by BofA(One inherited from MBNA). I do personally have an issue with Chase(inherited from BankOne) for jacking up my interest rate based on credit report. So I'm sure they all have their issues.

The fact that it's post marked prior to the due date means nothing. Sorry to say, it's not their fault.

To assure prompt payments all you have to do is pay online. With most banks if you pay prior to 12 noon - EST it's credited to your account the same day. The only exception is GEMB which takes 48 hours.

I agree, there are many other companies that have better offers than Bank of America. My personal favorite card is the Chase Platinum Visa Card. The card has a 0% Interest rate for the first 12 months and then no annual fees.

It's the card that I use. Once the 12 months is up if I have a balance on the card I do a balance transfer to another card with a 12 month 0% interest rate offer.

The ideal situation would be to pay the card off before the offer expires however.

Bank of America- worst card to get
Glad to read your post. I am presently looking to transfer my $2200.00 to a card with either a 12 month or 15 month 0% interest rate. I was seriously looking into BOA but their transfer fees are outrageous. And, yes, you are right, the customer service stinks.

Does anyone know of any good credit card companies besides Chase and Discover that offer 0% for balance transfers for 12 - 15 months and no transfer fees. My credit score is 761 which isn't bad and I should be able to apply for one without much difficulty.

I know the perfect card. The Chase Platinum Visa Card would be perfect for you. You may want to look at a few other offers however to see if any other offers fit your needs better.

Check Citi, Amex and Advanta. As for the 0 BT fee, they're getting more and more difficult to find. However with your balance it's only $66.00.

I recommend you to stop using snail mail and Century XIX checks...
Pay online and get a confirmation code... with that... you are save.
