Is it worht it to get a gas station credit card?

I feel it is worth it to get a gas credit card. It is unbelievable the amount of money I have saved because of a gas credit card. And with prices at the pump, going up everyday, it is definitely a smart idea.

They're worth getting if the fees don't outwieght the rewards...

Not really. If you have a debit, that's good enough. The gas cards I've had were crap.

That's totally wrong IMHO. If you use a debit card at a gas station a "hold" of $75 to $100 is placed on your account. The hold can be there for up to 48 hours. They're freezing your money.

If a hold is placed on a cc who cares? That's what your CL is for.

I've been doing this for years and that's never happened to me before.

True, Station close to my house freezes $50 and will only let you pump $50 worth, if you need more than $50 you have to swipe it again for another $50 hold.
Best way to get around this is to go inside and prepay using your pin number.

interest on those gas cards can break you - use caution

yes i also have gas credit card , its really worthy. i also got some rewards in this year. i saved a good amount after getting this card. i think it was my best choice of the year .
