Balance transfers
I have a Wamu credit card that i used to pay for my wedding, it has nearly 5,000 dollars charged to it. When i got the card they told me 0%APR 8 months or somthing like that. And recently the 0%APR has ended and at first I freaked because i thought they Wamu was going to slap me in the face with a large sum of money and send me over my balance, but that was not the case I am just paying the monthly interest rate. My father-inlaw told me i have excellent credit for being a 20 year old and he told me about transfering the credit card. So my question is should i transfer the 9.79%APR to a lower rate card? I was thinking about getting the Blue card from American Express because i could also earn cash back and stuff, because the Wamu card does not offer any rewards.

I have talked to a lot of people about the credit card and i told them "when my 0%APR is but they are going to charge me with a huge amount from the intrest rates." Eeryone seem to agree with me but when it was up,all i had to do was start paying the Interest rate. Can anyone tell me if this is normal.

Thanks.... I hope everyone can understand my post, I did not have much time to write it.

Can you check and see on what amount you are paying the 9.79% interest? Is it on the total loan of 5k that you took, or just what is left outstanding right now?

If you could get the balance paid of by the next time the new credit card's 0% interest rate runs out I would say transfer the balance to it but, leave the Wamu card open as it will hurt your credit some if you close it..learned that from Suze Orman, LOL

Good Luck..
