That is what I used to think, but not anymore, my credit scores are in the 700's I make all my payments early and pay more than the required amount, last night however much to my surprise I found a notice in my mail over a change in terms. They raised my fixed 8.99 to a 22.49 variable rate. Shocked I called them, this had nothing to do with my credit or my excellent payments to them, but because of my open credit line. Well needless to say I was furious and cancelled my chase credit card and had my daughter cancel hers too. So in my opinion if this is the best card out there then we are all in trouble. Joyce
